AFFIRM! McDOUGALL (LGBTQ)
Due to COVID, programs have been suspended until further notice. Many off-site events and community issues continue to be represented and supported by McDougall Church.
About: McDougall Church is an all inclusive, Christian, spiritual community that welcomes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered persons.
Affirm! McDougall actively pursues ideas to enhance their ministry. Educational programs are held throughout the year and participation is encouraged in wider community events.
Affirm! McDougall strives to meet the spiritual needs of the marginalized, invisible minorities and excluded groups in society; as well as reaching out to address wider needs.
Affirm! McDougall welcomes anyone who is supportive and interested in being part of an active, inclusive ministry to attend their meetings and events.

Painting for Pleasure
 Meets: On hold until further notice
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

About: This is an informal morning for artists to come and be inspired painting together, discussing your work, sharing techniques, ideas and experiences.
Bring: Necessary painting supplies and something you are working on or want to start.

Congregational & Pastoral Care
About: Congregational and Pastoral Care includes everyone in the community of faith at McDougall Church. It is headed up by our Pastoral Care minister, Anne Telford DM, and is supported by volunteers who keep in touch with seniors, shut-ins, those in hospital, care centers, and any who need a tender touch, no matter their situation. We also provide a card ministry to those who have been bereaved, celebrating birthdays, or other special occasions.
Sunday School
We are not able to provide Sunday School or children’s programming at this time.
Wedding Ministry
 Meets: For rehearsal and the ceremony
Where: Sanctuary
Time: As required
About: The Wedding Ministry includes individuals who are willing to support the occasion by doing all the background work before, during and after the ceremony:
- Attending the rehearsals to learn what the needs of the ceremony will be.
- Be at the wedding one hour prior to the ceremony to receive ushers, flowers, open doors, light candles, etc.
- Welcome the bride and her attendants.
- Be sure family and important guests are present and seated.
- Facilitate the bridal entrance.
- Tidy up after the ceremony.
